If I were to travel to Budapest, does anyone have any suggestion as to which district I should stay in? Solo traveler, but not a party
person. Chill is the vibe. Thanks in advance, espeically if you are native to Budapest.

I envy you, not just for the opportunity to travel to a historic city,
but to be able to inject into any conversation at parties with "When I
was in Budapest..."
... Convert a melodic element into a rhythmic elementI do have a "When I was in Budapest" story actually...

I've worked with people that travel a lot. You should really talk
To a travel agent. They can probably help in a lot of ways and provide a lot Of useful information. It's their job to make you have a great experience.
I do have a "When I was in Budapest" story actually. Unfortunately, I never get invited to parties so it's left untold since about 1998.

You could tell it here.

The air travel system is a mess, and
everything costs 2X now.

about the adventures that young Navy sailors with money in their

My father went into the navy right after Korea and spent 2 years on a
minesweeper in the Pacific. Tiny little thing, all wood construction,
brass fittings most places to avoid being magnetic. He had a box full
of business cards from Tokyo "Soldier's Clubs", most advertised
proximity to the naval base, "friendly girls" and strong drinks.

I couldn't believe Southwest went from no-frills "cattle call" seating
to reserved seating where the only free seats were center seats in the
back, and every other seat had an upcharge. :(
The fact that you could get most anywhere on the west coast on
Southwest every hour or two and just get on the plane was refreshing.
To hear stories about them not allowing people to move around to empty
seats once in flight just adds insult to injury.

I predict they'll be out of business, or "absorbed" by another airline,
in under two years.
They're not even cheaper than the others, any more.

Basically anywhere in the continental US is like that, even flying out
of smaller airports like Milwaukee. Southwest has the most intercontinental flights, and are the best price to boot.

People I knew who flew SW back then seemed happy with the service
they got. I always wondered what caused them to change it so much.

Or you're stuck in a cave.
Southwest is a shell of what it used to be, unfortunately, the flights are cheap, they fly to a lot of destinations and the airport is convenient.
They made the pilots stop telling jokes. That was a total bummer and I wish could smack the person who made that necessary upside the head.

Btw, don't ever do this because they will break your carryon. Unless you want a new one... then you just have to yell at em a bit, and they'll send you a replacement.
